I am so happy that enough money has been raised to dig a brand new well for the children of Guiledje.
With the digging of the new well the school we built can finally open in the fall.
I don’t have any photos of the completed new school yet, but hearing the good news fills my heart with joy and reminds me of the painting of the school we built in Djati.
So I decided to post the video.
I’m so proud of each and every person who helped make this all possible!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted any updates regarding our second It Takes a Village school. This has been mostly due to the difficulty in getting to and from the location. Our project missionary, Maritza, was having an awful time with her vehicle. She was getting stuck on the roads and it became too dangerous for her to venture out in her 30 year old vehicle.
I am happy to report that with the combined efforts of Friends of Guinea Bissau and It Takes a Village, we were able to raise the $10,000 needed to get her a new car.
She picked up the car a month or so ago and is now back in the US for her usual summer time off. She sent me some photos of the progress of the school.
There is more to do as the roof has not been put on yet, but it is coming along.
